Cia. Sargantana was born in 2003 created by Jordi Pérez and Dani Carles.

After working together in many projects they decided to work together and create cia. Sargantana. Guided by the need of escaping from the boredom, they put their minds into a theatre based in the actors work and the union between the theatre and the world we live in, creating a space for live-experiencing, reflection and communion with the audience. A theatre where the audience can not only be amazed, but touched.

Form their earliest works, the company chooses to work with their own-created texts so that they can explore the whole theatrical process, aming for specific research goals for every unique production.
Since 2009 the company has its own studio in Barcelona where the research continues to get deeper and separate from the company rehearsals. 
This studio working system brings a few changes to our company, focusing not only in our own texts, but also in the work of other authors that we believe have something to say to our nowadays audience.
