At ciasargantana, we understand community-based creation as a long-term artistic and social process. We develop projects that connect performing arts, education and territory, with the aim of generating lasting bonds, collective empowerment and continuities that extend beyond a single project.

Our processes emerge from real contexts and work with diverse groups —young people, educational communities, people in vulnerable situations, or territories with limited cultural provision— activating spaces for expression, dialogue and participation through artistic practice.

Training is a central axis of this line of work. Through iam social courses, we share tools related to body, presence, voice and dramaturgy, adapted to community contexts. This training enables participants to develop their own artistic and expressive resources, and acts as both an entry point to and a driving force behind community-based creation processes.

The iam social courses are designed to foster autonomy and knowledge transfer, allowing processes to continue and be replicated without the constant presence of the company. Many of the projects and groups that later become part of Breus emerge directly from these training processes.

The creations that arise from these projects are based on real testimonies and contemporary social issues, and are collectively constructed, respecting the rhythms, limits and singularity of each community. Impact is measured not only through the artistic outcome, but also through the relationships built, the capacities developed and the networks activated.

This line of work is at the core of ciasargantana and is in constant dialogue with the scenic and technological research developed at Lanau7.
